Described by David Bishop (former JUDGE DREDD MEGAZINE/2000AD editor) as
"One of Britain’s best young comic book painters",
Siku brought his talents to the Computer Games Industry four years ago working as Visual Director at Elixir Studios, London.

• Born in Leicester, England, Siku specialised in Graphic Design in Art School. His other disciplines include conceptual art direction; painting, sculpture and concept work in science fiction and fantasy.
• He began as a 2-year studio junior in an advertising agency at the age of sixteen before going on to Art College to study sculpture, ceramics, painting, textile design and eventually specialising in Graphics Design whilst rendering Architectural drawings and singing on Radio Jingles to help pay his education and boarding fees.
• After an initial 4-year concept and visualisation debut in advertising, he spent the next 11 years working as a comic book creator for Britain’s most successful science fiction/fantasy comic weekly; 2000 AD. Others include covers for MARVEL, SPANISH/GERMAN PUBLICATIONS, and work for COM X.
• Interviewed in January 2001 by LONDON WEEKEND TELEVISION about his work.
• Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast interview and live mural demonstration in 2002.
• Channel 5’ Chris Moyles Show appearance in 2002.
• Radio interviews by BBC Scotland and BBC London.
• Interviewed by the British media magazine ‘ARTRAGE’, by BBC London, BBC
Scotland, ‘BLACK BRITAIN’ and the Spanish publication, ‘MEGAMULTIMEADIA’.
• Lectured in the UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS and given motivational talks.
• In 1999, Siku’s work was featured in ‘THE BEST OF BRITISH ILLUSTRATORS’
Annual also known as ‘IMAGES 22’.
• His work for LINTAS (Pepperami) was nominated for best Advertising illustration UK.
• Writer/Creator for FRONT magazine.
• Concept work for the proposed movie ‘JUSTICE’.
• Books published in SPAIN, and translated into GERMAN testify to fans in Continental Europe.
• Critically acclaimed Graphic novel published in 1998 (recognised by readers as a top ten all time greatest graphic novel).

V I D E O G A M E S
• For 4 years, Siku was the Visuals Director of Elixir Studios where he introduced conceptual stylisation. This included, creating texture and geometry stylisation as seen in the acclaimed PC game EVIL GENIUS and for all games developed by Elixir.
• Improving the global artistic skills of the artists by organising Life Drawing classes and critique sessions of textures, palette, lighting and models of each game.
• Assisting the Art Manager in creating strategies for improving workflow, awareness of the arts and the anticipating of the future of art in games development.
• Maintaining a high standard of character modelling by constant interaction with the character artists. In particular, teaching the principles of characterisation. For example, accurately applying the principles of caricature to limited poly modelling.
• Creating texture techniques and explaining the technique to the teams.
• Assisting the Lead Artist in maintaining an overall consistent style.
• Responsible for PR work (graphics, paintings, Advertising ideas etc)

Though only the last of these games was published, American Dream, Alpha and Fuel were advanced in development before being withdrawn for different reasons.

• Wrote the final chapter of THE ART OF GAME WORLDS. Edited by Dave Morris and Leo Hartas. Some the industry’s leading creatives were interviewed about the current and future trends in Video Game Art.
• Major contributor to another forthcoming book on concept art of Video games. Published by ILEX. Release- summer 2005.
• Writing a tutorial for a new Games book by 3D TOTAL- DIGITAL ART MASTERS.
• Contributing to a concepts book by 3D TOTAL.

His other interests are Music, Basketball, Christian Theology, History, teaching and (casual) Quantum Physics! Currently producing a Neo-Classic Soul album amongst other things… phew!
